Retired OU faculty and staff members will receive an OU retiree card that can be used to check out books and other services at OU Libraries. See our policy page for more information.

Geology Courtesy Borrowers may have broader privileges. Apply at the Youngblood Energy Library branch.
Visiting Scholars must apply for a permit. All requests will be reviewed by the Bizzell Circulation Services Manager for approval. To apply for a permit, use our online request form. Eligible users include graduate students from other universities, museum/archive professionals, weather science professionals, and other scholars with special permissions.

These borrowing privileges are for partners of the GWLA Share, OCLC Reciprocal Borrowing, and the OK-Share Programs.

- Loan Period for Media: 7 days, no renewals
- High school students (same as share programs). Must be enrolled in a pre-approved program. The high school instructor must contact the OU Instruction Librarian in advance for information about the approval process.
- OU-Affiliates Companies based on campus. Must contact Circulation Services Manager for approval; will need to show research ID and letter from employer.
