Who Can Use This Service

This service is open to all OU authors.

Publishers and Discounts

American Society for Microbiology (ASM)

Beginning in January 2025 through December 2025, via the S20 Subscribe to Open model, OU-Norman authors are eligible to publish in ASM's six primary research, subscription-based journals without incurring article processing charges (APCs). Page charges and supplemental material fee discounts are available.

Association for Computer Machinery (ACM)

OU-Norman authors may publish open access at no additional cost beginning January 2023.

American Chemical Society (ACS)

Beginning Fall 2025, OU-affiliated corresponding authors have access to institution-wide gold OA publishing with ACS with no fees for authors. ACS read and publish agreements provide full access to ACS Publications’ subscription journal content, plus immediate gold open access publishing for affiliated corresponding authors. This means the final Version of Record will be openly available on the ACS Platform for anyone to read. Authors will have the choice of sharing either the accepted manuscript or the Version of Record immediately on publication. Authors can veiw which ACS journals are covered in the OU agreement at the ACS link to the left.

Cambridge University Press

Via the Read & Publish Cambridge University Press transformative agreement through the Greater Western Library Alliance (GWLA), OU authors are eligible for complete waivers of open access publishing costs for articles accepted for publication in Cambridge University Press journals from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2025. Canadian Science Publishing (CSP)

Via CSP's Standard Read & Publish agreement, OU-Norman corresponding authors receive unlimited open access publishing in CSP's hybrid journals from January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2026.

Cogitation Press

The University of Oklahoma covers the article processing charges (APC) of all articles authored by corresponding authors of the institution. This agreement is valid for articles submitted through the journal's online submission system as of January 1, 2025.

Frontiers

As of June 1, 2024, OU Libraries renewed our agreement with Frontiers for one more year. Our agreement will continue to provide OU authors with a 15% discount on article processing charges for open access articles, but please note that this is subject to change next year.

MDPI

OU Libraries' membership to MDPI provides OU- Norman corresponding authors with a 10% discount on APCs.

Open Library of the Humanities

There are no author fees to publish in OLH open access journals.

Oxford University Press

Via the Read & Publish Oxford University Press transformative agreement, OU authors may publish open access at no additional cost from January 2022 to December 2025. This agreement helps shift library spending from subscription-based reading to open access publishing.

Rockefeller University Press

As of January 2025, OU-Norman no longer has an agreement with Rockefeller University Press.

Royal Society of Chemistry

Beginning in January 2025 through December 2025, all OU corresponding authors may publish Gold open access in more than 40 RSC scholarly journals, both fully OA and hybrid, with no publishing fees or limits on OA articles published under the Royal Society of Chemistry and Lyrasis open access publishing agreement.
