The Library Technology Operations team develops and maintains the technological infrastructure for library services, including publishing platforms, research tools, and cloud-based systems. They ensure the security and reliability of these systems, manage public-facing services, and collaborate with OU IT for staff and student support. Additionally, they handle technology strategy, endpoint management, software licensing, and project management.
About This Team
Library Technology Operations (LTO) is led by Danica Leslie, Sr. Director. It supports the work of the Digital Strategies and Innovation division and includes expertise in the following areas:
- Cloud Infrastructure and Development (CID)- The CID team designs, builds, and maintains the core infrastructure that supports various applications and services. It plays a crucial role in maintaining and advancing the technological infrastructure of the organization, ensuring that all systems are efficient, secure, and capable of supporting the organization's goals.
- Discovery Services - The Discovery Services team plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless access to library resources and services. They manage and optimize various systems and tools that support the library's catalog, archival collections, inventory control, off-campus access, and research tools, while also maintaining metadata consistency across digital repositories.
- Library IT - This team provides IT support to staff and students, manages technology strategy and endpoint devices, oversees on-premises servers, handles software licensing, reviews and purchases technology, manages inventory and refresh cycles, and focuses on security. Their work ensures the smooth operation and security of the organization's technology resources.

Redesigned Libraries Website
We're excited to announce the beta release of the new OU Libraries website! This redesigned site features a modern look, streamlined navigation, and an improved information architecture to help you more easily find the services, resources, and support you need.
Upgraded Digital Collections Site
The OU Libraries Digital Collections Repository is getting a major upgrade—and it's already available for beta testing! This new platform consolidates digital special research collections materials previously scattered across multiple sites into a single, unified repository. Users will enjoy faceted search, enhanced browsing, and a more intuitive experience for discovering OU’s rich cultural, historical, and scholarly collections.
Access to the beta version is available through a banner on repository.ou.edu, and features real content and a prominent feedback form for your input. The full launch of the new repository is scheduled for December 2025.
New Technology for fall 2025
Throughout Summer 2025, we've been hard at work refreshing the Bizzell computer lab with updated computer and touchdown spaces. Check out the new 32-inch displays and docking stations!
We're also in the middle of our project to upgrade all Libraries workstations to Windows 11 in alignment with OU IT policies.
