Featured Services

3D Printing

Come to the Library MakerSpace to get your objects 3D printed. Don't know what to print? You can go online and find a model on Thingiverse or Printables. You can also make your own models on SketchUp or Tinkercad. The MakerSpace allows personal, classwork, and research prints, meaning you can print anything from a prosthetic hand to action figures.

In addition to the MakerSpace 3D printing services, OU Libraries also offers Research 3D Printing services to support campus research and student success. Prints that meet the criteria can be made using fused deposition modeling (FDM) and resin materials. Visit the Research 3D Printing page to learn more and request a consultation.

All 3D print requests at OU Libraries are subject to the 3D Printing Policy.

Virtual Reality

Virtual reality headsets allow non-technical users to analyze and manipulate 3D models in a virtual reality. OU Libraries leads the University of Oklahoma and the nation in integrating virtual reality into scholarly activities. Moreover, our community - including faculty, staff, students, and the public – has access to the latest virtual reality hardware and software across multiple campus locations.

3D Scanning

Come to the Library MakerSpace to learn the basics of scanning objects into 3D. Come and scan an artifact, your backpack, or even your roommate in a matter of minutes.
