We welcome assistance in the following areas:

Contributions to our Acquisition funds: all rare books are purchased with private funds.
Exhibitions: we are currently investing in exhibition development to enable the public and larger numbers of students to enjoy the books.
Digital projects: we have recently undertaken several major new initiatives in open access digital projects, in collaboration with other universities.
Donations of archives, private libraries or rare book collections, or contributions in support of the collecting initiatives in Geology or Meteorology, please contact us.

Giving to Western History Collections

Thank you for considering a donation to the Western History Collections. Please contact us to discuss potential donations.

Financial gifts may be donated online through the University of Oklahoma Foundation (select Western History Collections as the recipient in the Search Other Foundation Funds menu). For donations of collections for research, we collect original papers and photographs that document the history of the trans-Mississippi West, with emphasis on people groups and events of Oklahoma and the Southern Plains.

We are unable to accept donations of book collections. We also do not generally accept three-dimensional artifacts.
